Born to Be Blue (2015) is a semi-fictional biopic directed by Robert Budreau, starring Ethan Hawke as jazz legend Chet Baker. Set in the 1960s, the film follows Baker as he stars in a movie about his earlier life, including his struggles with addiction. When Baker is attacked and loses his front teeth, his embouchure is ruined, making it difficult to play the trumpet.
