Defiance, released in 2008 is set during the events of World War II. This movie is about four brothers, trying to escape Nazi persecution of the Jews. Daniel Craig plays the role of one of the brothers - Tuvia Bielski. The movie is a great take on family and brotherhood and Daniel Craig’s performance is widely appreciated. He has a commanding screen presence and portrays moral complexity in a very nuanced manner.
