In the opening scene of Annabelle Comes Home, Lorraine and Ed Warren visit the home of two nurses who have been tormented by the cursed doll, Annabelle. The nurses recount the terrifying events they have experienced, and Lorraine senses the evil presence within the doll. Despite the fear and danger associated with Annabelle, Lorraine bravely takes possession of the doll, knowing it must be contained to prevent further harm. Lorraine and Ed transport Annabelle to their occult museum, where they place the doll in a secure glass case to contain its evil influence.
