1. All the President’s Men (1976)

This Oscar-winning political thriller tells the true story of The Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein whose investigation resulted in President Richard Nixon's resignation. According to their book, the film chronologically details their investigation of the Watergate scandal. Commended for its authenticity, it conveys the tension and meticulous research in the breaking of one of the largest political scandals in American history. Even today, decades later, it is a standard for investigative journalism movies.
