In May 2024, the ABC series Good Doctor concluded a brilliant run of medical drama and personal growth in taking the medical world by its biggest challenges head-on with Dr. Shaun Murphy, who is a very sharp surgeon but has been living with autism. It ended the final season by diving deeper into Shaun's change, his relationship with Lea, and his balancing of his unique perspective against his career demands. The thoughtfulness of the show, which comes together so well with emotional storytelling, was enough to make its end both poignant and satisfying for its audience.
