10) Tomb Raider (2018)
Alicia Vikander gives Lara Croft a realistic and human edge. In comparison to past adaptations, Lara is weak but powerful, so her story makes sense. Her quest to find her missing father takes her into a perilous adventure on an unknown island where the action goes to new levels. Vikander went through very rigorous physical training, even doing most of her stunts. Though the critics had mixed opinions, fans loved the new Vikander for this role. Tomb Raider became a new landmark in female-led video game adaptations as it tried to balance adventure with emotional storytelling.
