2. Primer (2004)

Primer is considered one of the most complex films ever made about traveling in time. Taking place on a shoestring budget, the story involves two engineers who accidentally stumble into a discovery of time travel in a side project of theirs. Its non-linear narrative, sparse dialogue, and highly convoluted plot make it such that viewers are constantly piecing together the puzzle.
