The crown is a combination of a political and historical drama, which, in a chronicle manner shows the life of the British monarchy, starting with the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, to the term of Margaret thatcher, as the prime minister followed by the chaotic relationship of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. This show perfectly manages to portray the burden of duty and how traditions in the modern world can leave a person crippled. It is a wonderful portrayal of social changes in a political world and has won a number of awards for its great cinematography.
