Mac Royals chose to audition with John Mayer's song – Gravity. It was a perfect choice as he managed to nail the introspective intensity of the song. He had precision over his vocals and had a perfect transition between soft and powerful notes. The judges really appreciated him for his uniqueness and Judge John Legend even went on to say that Mac is the kind of artist he would love to work with in the future.
