Uncle Ben’s death in Spider-Man became one of the defining moments in Peter Parker’s story. He was shot by a carjacker who Peter had earlier let escape during a moment of arrogance. Peter found Ben dying in the street and held him during his final moments. This death hit hard because Ben had been the father figure Peter depended on and his loss forced Peter to grow up fast. Ben’s advice about responsibility shaped Peter’s values and pushed him to become Spider-Man. His death gave Peter a reason to use his powers for good and changed the course of his life forever.
