Tony Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame brought an emotional end to one of Marvel’s most important characters. He used the Infinity Stones to wipe out Thanos and his army, fully aware the power he is wielding would kill him. His final words, “I am Iron Man,” tied back to the first movie and showed how far he had come since becoming a hero. Tony’s sacrifice hit hard because he was the foundation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and one of its most beloved characters. His death left a lasting impact on the story and created a void no one could replace.
