Another terrible decision that reflects poor writing in the movie is when Lex Luthor decides to bring himself in between the two superheroes and manipulates Batman into killing Superman. His decision seems half-baked as during the death of Superman, he is scared that Earth is now vulnerable to evil, even though he wanted Superman killed. Luthor also gets imprisoned ultimately, which makes his character and his choices flimsy.
