Natalie Portman has been considered intelligent and committed, yet she never did film school. She continued to be an actress in parallel with her academic background, graduated from Harvard with a Psychology degree, and started her acting career by being a child star with Léon: The Professional in 1994. Her performances in films such as Black Swan (2010), for which she won an Oscar, and Jackie (2016) confirm that passion and discipline were more than enough to carve out a successful acting career.
