Brad Pitt, who attended the University of Missouri on a journalism scholarship, left college two weeks shy of graduation to pursue acting in Los Angeles. Without any formal training, he took on odd jobs to get by, including dressing as a chicken mascot. It was Thelma & Louise (1991), however, that captured Hollywood's attention with his charm. Pitt transformed from a pretty boy in Legends of the Fall to a critically acclaimed actor in Fight Club and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, winning an Oscar.
