5) Philip Seymour Hoffman:
On February 2, 2014, Philip Seymour Hoffman was discovered dead in the hotel room of a Manhattan hotel from a heroin overdose. The star of the film Capote, the Oscar winner in 2006, had a history of winning his battles with addiction but, tragically, ended up relapsing eight months before he died, marking the end of nearly 25 years of sobriety. When Hoffman died, he was almost on the last day of shooting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 with just a week more of its production schedule. Still, he died when he was only 46 years old, leaving behind the memory of truly extraordinary talent and inescapable performances.
