1) Heath Ledger:
Heath Ledger, the Australian acting superstar, who had only recently completed an unforgettable performance as the Joker in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight and was midway through filming on Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment in an overdose of drugs on 22 January 2008. To pay tribute to Ledger and finish the film, Gilliam brought in close friends of the deceased actor, including Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell, to play his character in the remaining scenes and a poignant tribute to his legacy.
