Hugh Grant is best known for playing charming and slightly awkward romantic leads. Movies like Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral made him famous as the lovable but bumbling Englishman. Grant is good at delivering humor and awkwardness in a natural way, making his characters easy to root for. He has played variations of this role for years, and audiences still enjoy his performances. In Paddington 2 he stepped into comedy as a flamboyant villain and in The Undoing he played a darker role as a manipulative husband. Despite these changes, most people still associate him with romantic comedies, and he continues to make those roles work.
