Captain America: Brave New World brings the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) one step closer to mutants in a big way. Ms. Marvel gave a hint that mutants exist, and Deadpool & Wolverine did feature some characters from X-men in the MCU. Still, the fans are eagerly waiting for a full-fledged X-men reboot. Marvel Studios has a great chance to reinvent already famous characters while holding on to their comic book roots. Unlike all earlier versions, the new creations could sprout long-term narratives and fit into this massive universe.
The most significant hurdle, however, for Marvel in introducing these characters is the organicness with which they introduce the mutants into the MCU. The X-Men films, so adored, usually dealt with a few lead characters while others got lost in the setting. But here is one wonderful chance for the MCU to provide a distinct and meaningful place in this universe for each mutant. The following list is about the top ten X-Men that all fans want to watch entering the MCU with new twists to their origins, powers, and stories. As heroes, anti-heroes, or even villains, these characters could carve out some space in future Marvel films.
1) Wolverine

No X-Men team is complete without Wolverine, and although Hugh Jackman returns for Deadpool & Wolverine, the MCU is going to require a new interpretation of the character after Secret Wars. His complicated history, adamantium blades, and healing factor make Logan a great candidate to provide a dark, violent tone for the MCU. A plot about his stint in Weapon X or a confrontation with the Hulk would blow people away. Marvel Studios can cast a younger actor and position Wolverine as a leading character in the new X-Men roster, even possibly setting up his relation to Madripoor from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
2) Storm

As one of Marvel's strongest mutants, Storm is well past due for a decent live-action interpretation. The MCU's move into Africa with Wakanda makes now the ideal time to bring in Ororo Munroe, who has rich connections to T'Challa within the comics. Her omega-level weather manipulation powers could produce some incredible visuals, and she can be a connecting point between the X-Men and the Avengers. Marvel can also examine her role as a leader, potentially positioning her to become the new leader of the X-Men rather than Xavier, providing a new direction for the team.
3) Cyclops

Cyclops has unfairly been left apart in every other X-Men movie to date. However, they can finally do justice to the organized leader of the team. Marvel can capture a rebooted Cyclops, featuring his tactical genius and inner struggles to disturbing perceptions of that character's complex relationship with Jean Grey and his rivalry with Wolverine. None of that, however, would be restricted to the storylines found in House of X or Powers of X since those stories paint Scott Summers as a man who has become politically charged to secure rights for mutants.
4) Jean Grey

Jean Grey has endured successive reimaginings of the Dark Phoenix Saga, but the MCU can do something differently. Rather than hurrying into her cosmic change, Marvel might emphasize Jean's status as one of the original X-Men members, highlighting her telepathic and telekinetic abilities. With the multiverse being more involved, Jean might also be central in bringing various realities together, perhaps connecting to the Doctor Strange movies. Her romance with Cyclops, Wolverine, and Professor X might be explored further, so she is not just a receptacle for the Phoenix Force.
5) Magneto

An MCU Magneto would be a game-changer if Marvel remakes his origin story to reflect contemporary conflicts. Although his Holocaust survivor origin is iconic, the MCU might modify it to another tragedy while maintaining his intense trauma and ideological conflict with Professor X. Magneto might also serve to introduce Genosha, a mutant sanctuary, and provide political intrigue to the franchise. His existence might make it difficult for world governments in a situation that reflects real-world concerns, making him the most interesting villain or even an anti-hero Marvel has ever had.
6) Rogue

With The Marvels opening up the cosmic end of the MCU, the time is right to bring Rogue into the fold. In the comics, Rogue acquires her flight and super-strength by draining Carol Danvers' powers, which would be a great way to stage a battle between her and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel. But aside from that, Rogue's internal conflict with her powers and her dynamic with Gambit could bring emotional depth to the new X-Men movies. Her southern belle charm, paired with her woeful inability to physically touch another being, makes her one of the richest mutants Marvel ought to introduce to the large screen.
7) Gambit

Gambit has been due for a fitting cinematic introduction for a long time after several unsuccessful attempts, including the cancellation of Channing Tatum's solo movie. Under the MCU's new strategy, Remy LeBeau's New Orleans background, his history with the Thieves' Guild, and his kinetic energy manipulation could be utilized to the fullest. A film or Disney+ series on Gambit as an anti-hero committing heists before he gets recruited into the X-Men would be new. His love conflict with Rogue and confrontations with Wolverine would bring even more drama. The proper casting could finally bring justice to this beloved Cajun mutant.
8) Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler is one of the most visually appealing and emotionally rich X-Men. His teleportation abilities can create some amazing action scenes, and his Christian personality adds an interesting dynamic to the team. The MCU could delve into his backstory, including his relationship with Mystique and Azazel, and give him a richer background than the other films. Introducing Nightcrawler with characters such as Doctor Strange or Spider-Man would also provide new opportunities for storytelling, demonstrating his battle with acceptance in a world that is afraid of mutants.
9) Beast

With the MCU going deeper into scientific technology and genetics, it is only fitting to introduce Beast as a connection between humans and mutants. Dr. Hank McCoy's biochemistry knowledge could relate to established plots with the Super Soldier Serum or even with the High Evolutionary. His evolution from a genius scientist to a blue-furred giant can be a metaphor for the struggle of mutants, making him more than mere comic relief. A plot in which Beast trains younger mutants as he grapples with his own grotesque appearance would be another depth added to the story of the X-Men.
10) Professor X

No X-Men team is possible without Professor Charles Xavier. The MCU can possibly have the opportunity to bring a younger, more morally ambiguous Xavier beyond the usual depiction in earlier X-Men movies. Delving into his morally dubious actions—like mind-wiping individuals or taking things from behind the scenes—can make him a more complex character. He would also be able to act as a mentor to new mutants that emerge in the MCU, bridging movies such as Doctor Strange and Captain America: Brave New World.
