On Emmerdale tonight, Ella attacks Wendy, Dawn says that she is going to report Rose's absence to the police, and Will begins to fear the worst about his relationship with Kim.
Emmerdale tonight: Mandy wants to celebrate Ella’s birthday
Mandy surprises Ella with a morning of pampering at the salon for her birthday. She wants to take a before and after picture, and Ella reluctantly agrees after Mandy promises not to post it online.
Will is concerned about Kim not responding to his calls and messages. As Dawn and Billy leave with Evan for his chemotherapy, Dawn tells Will that Kim texted her. Dawn says she wishes that Kim was there and tells Will to tell Kim that Dawn is going to go to the police about Rose and report her missing. After Dawn leaves, Will makes a call and says on the phone, “We’ve got a real problem now.”
Moira and Nate are looking at buying a bull when Cain hears them talking. Cain tells them that they do not have the cash for another bull and they need to live within their means. Moira books a room at a B&B in Norfolk and leaves to buy the bull anyway.
Emmerdale tonight: Laurel fears that she and the kids will have no home
Jai and Laurel argue in the street again about how he’s sold off all of his assets. Jai says since he’s skint, the law says he gets half of Laurel’s assets, and so he’s taking their house. He’s called an estate agent to assess it to be listed. Laurel tells him she will see him in court.
Billy and Dawn lean on each other at the hospital. He comes home later and asks Will if he can take the night shift with Evan so Dawn can get some rest and see the kids. Will is distracted and says that he will but keeps trying to call Kim. Will mentions that Kim called him when he left the hospital, but she isn’t answering Will’s calls. Will fears that it indicates that their relationship is over.
Emmerdale tonight: Ella’s worst fears are realized
Ella realizes that the pictures were online and yells at Mandy about it. Mandy is trying to hide a birthday cake while she explains that Amelia must have put it on the internet. Ella yells at Mandy that she doesn’t want that, nor does she want to celebrate her birthday. She demands the pictures be deleted immediately and smashes the cake to the ground.
Liam follows Ella to a park bench and tells her he saw what happened. Liam says he can tell the day is overwhelming her, but she made a mistake a long time ago, and she has paid the price for it. He tells Ella that she has the right to live her life and that the people here want to help her do that. Ella fears everyone will hate her after the way she behaved, but Liam encourages her to meet them at the pub.
Emmerdale tonight: Nicola and Gabby torment Jai
Nicola makes a superfood smoothie for Jai and says even though Laurel is her best friend, he is welcome anytime. Jai spits out the drink, and Nicola laughs. Jai spews that the smoothie was “foul, disgusting, and bitter.” Nicola says, “Just like you.”
At the pub, Ella tells her friends that she is sorry and that she appreciates everything they did. They apologize for upsetting her and then pop the champagne. While Mandy gets everyone doing karaoke, Liam gives Ella a necklace.
Mandy, Lydia, Manpreet, and Ella are singing “Angel” when Gary walks in. He calls Ella “Ruth” and lays into her for celebrating on the day that she killed Joanna. Ella says she knew this was a bad idea and runs out.
Jai comes home to find his house completely empty. A handwritten sign reads, 'Karma, Mr. Sharma!' Jai goes to Laurel, Gabby, and Nicola, accusing each of them of stealing his belongings.
Emmerdale tonight: Gary makes himself clear
Gary chases Ella and catches up to her outside Brook Cottage Surgery. He tells her that she’s evil and wants her to die. Wendy comes out and sees that he is upsetting Ella. She takes her inside the clinic to comfort her.
Gabby and Nicola take Laurel to a large truck and show her all of Jai’s possessions. They say they’ll give it back eventually. Gabby tells Laurel it’s just a warning for Jai, but he’s not going to know what hit him if he keeps bullying Laurel.
In the clinic, Ella tells Wendy there is nowhere to run. When Wendy says that everyone in the pub cares about her, Ella punches Wendy’s face. “You think you know me,” Ella snarls, “But you don’t know me at all.”
Emmerdale tonight: Ella makes a drastic decision
Ella starts throwing potted plants at Wendy and demands that she call the police. Wendy is screaming for help as Ella yells that if they don’t get there soon, Wendy will “get it in the neck.” As Manpreet comes in, Wendy runs out.
On the bridge, Liam tells Gary that Joanna’s death has haunted Ella. Liam says that everyone, if they’re genuinely repentant, deserves a second chance.
When Gabby and Laurel see Jai again, he is in a much better mood. He tells him that whoever took his stuff did him a favor. He met with Bob and got the keys as he’s taken a lease on a place across the street from Laurel.
Manpreet tells Ella that they can fix what happened, but Ella doesn’t want to. Ella thinks she doesn’t deserve a normal life or to move on from killing Joanna. As the police arrive, Ella takes off her new necklace and asks that it be given back to Liam. When the police come inside, Ella tells them that she admits to everything, and they arrest her. Before getting in the police car, Ella kisses Liam and tells him to be happy.
