Last week on Emmerdale, from August 12th to August 16th, Kerry got her job back, Charity was worried about Sarah's drinking, guests at Paddy and Mandy's wedding didn't know if they were coming or going, and Tom escalated his obsession with Belle to a disturbing new level.
Let's look at what you missed on this favorite British soap opera.
Emmerdale last week: John continued to alienate people
Despite the best efforts of Nate, Victoria, and others, no one was any closer to getting to know John. Although he was willing to play ball with Harry, John made it clear to all that he wanted no relationship with any family or friends.
Mackenzie and Aaron did their best to antagonize John and "pranked" him by taking his van, but somehow, it wound up submerged in the creek. John told everyone as soon as his van was fixed, he would be gone, but until then, he would be living out of it.
Emmerdale last week: Bear discovered Mandy's big secret
Bear heard Mandy talking to a client and figured out that she was a financial dominatrix. She convinced him not to tell Paddy, but he made her promise to shut down the website.
However, Bear made an appointment through Mandy's website and showed Paddy what she was doing. Upset, Paddy said he didn't want to go through with the wedding, so Bear told everyone it was off. Marlon convinced Paddy to talk to Mandy, and when he did, they worked it all out. He cared less about what she was doing and more that she lied to him.
With the wedding back on, everyone tried to make it to the church in time to see the nuptials. The happy couple later celebrated at the pub with their friends and family.
Emmerdale last week: Vinny made a big decision
After the wedding, Vinny saw Gabby. They talked, and both admitted they wanted to be more than friends. Vinny explained that someone had mentioned Liv, and it made him afraid to move on, but now he was ready. Gabby said she was ready, too, and Vinny spent the night. The next day, Gabby told Vinny she was happy that she was his first but wanted to just have fun together without labels.
Emmerdale last week: Nicola and Jimmy got disappointing news
Anticipating Angel's release, Jimmy and Nicola were disturbed when they were notified that Angel was in a fight. They were even more upset when they learned that Angel was being a bully and caused the assault.
Learning that she must stay for the eight-month sentence, Nicola worries that the experience has changed Angel, and she might not even recognize her daughter by the time she is released.
Emmerdale last week: Belle came home, but not to Tom
Tom was hopeful that Belle's text that she was returning meant that she wanted to reunite and had a Mini waiting for her — with a GPS tracker installed. However, she made it clear to him that they were over. Belle told Tom that she wanted no contact with him.
Unbeknownst to Belle, Tom had video cameras installed in her home, and he watched her on them at all hours. Knowing she would be at the pub for Sam's birthday, Tom waited near the door.
He tried again to get Belle to agree to take the car, but she said no. When Belle stood up to go to her family's table, Tom grabbed her by the wrist and made her sit back down. Belle was terrified but asked Tom to leave. Amelia told Belle that Tom didn't deserve that treatment from her.
Tom left and broke the GPS unit from the car. As he was driving down the road, he spotted Piper and hit the gas.
When Belle left the pub, Tom was waiting outside. Once he knew Belle could see him, he removed Piper from the backseat and called out to Belle that he had found Piper on the road. "I'll save her!" Tom yelled as he ran off with her dog.
