RATINGS: Did the Daytime Emmys' dwindle or soar?

Did daytime's biggest night turn up big ratings, as well?

The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards delivered a lot of big winners on Sunday night, but did the show also deliver big ratings? The answer to that question is... YES!

NATAS Chairman, Charles "Chuck" Dages, along with NATAS President, Bob Mauro, and Vice-President, David Michaels, are proud to announce that the live broadcast on Pop was seen by 900,000 people, making it the most-watched live event on the network in eight years, dating back to when Pop (formerly TV Guide) premiered "Live on the Red Carpet with Joan and Melissa" at the Academy Awards.

The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ignited fans on social media, as well, becoming the second highest ranked show in Nielsen's Twitter TV Ratings for the night, just behind Game of Thrones. The live awards show outranked the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards, WWE Extreme Rules, and Keeping up with the Kardashians in the Nielsen Twitter TV rankings.

In short, the night really was a return to glamour -- for the soap opera community as well as for Pop.
