Days of our Lives' Eric Brady is gonna get burned this summer, and sunscreen won't do a damn thing to help him. The NBC soap's summer preview (below) shows actor Greg Vaughan back in the shoes of his beloved alter ego -- but as avid DAYS viewers know, Eric's homecoming isn't going to be a smooth one!
Salemites have been hoping for Eric's return from Africa ever since the character left the canvas last summer, but no one more so than his wife, Nicole (Arianne Zucker). She's been anxiously awaiting the moment she can be back in her husband's arms, but all of that kind of went out the window last month when -- hearing that Eric would once again be delaying his return -- she got drunk and slept with Xander (Paul Telfer)! Eric is now for sure heading back to Salem, but he might have wished he hadn't once he gets wind of Nicole's atrocious behavior in his absence!
No matter how Eric comes to feel about his return to Salem, DAYS fans are ecstatic to have Vaughan back on the canvas. The actor shocked viewers in August of 2020 when he announced that he was leaving the role he'd played since 2012, stating that he "felt like a glorified extra in everybody else's storyline" and that "a lot of things that were said to me or promised to me never came to fruition." He promised that, despite his misgivings about being part of the show at that time, he would likely one day return. Thankfully, he kept that promise!
Prior to his DAYS run, Vaughan played Lucky Spencer on General Hospital from 2003 to 2009 and Diego Guittierez on The Young and the Restless from 2002 to 2003. Some of his other credits include Queen Sugar; Lucifer; Beverly Hills, 90210; Charmed; and Malibu Shores.
