Days of our Lives' Eric Brady has jetted off to Paris once again to resume his life with Jude and Nicole (Arianne Zucker). But what does that mean for Greg Vaughan's status with the soap?
Greg Vaughan is out...but not for good
According to Soap Opera Digest, Vaughan is once again off the DAYS canvas, but you can expect to see him bring Roman (Josh Taylor) and Marlena's (Deidre Hall) son to life again one day. The outlet reports that sources confirm that Vaughan will be back but there is no word on when.

Vaughan already left Eric behind over the summer when the character made the initial move to Paris to start a new life with Nicole and their son. Between flashbacks and a goodbye party, that seemed like the end for Vaughan and Eric, but he was back just a few months later.
During Eric's latest go-around in Salem, he saved his brother from a life in prison and made amends with Holly (Ashley Puzemis). Eric returned to town when he heard that Brady had been arrested for a drunk driving accident that cost Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) the use of her legs. It was Eric who deduced that Xander's mother, Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas), was the real culprit and had set Brady up to take the fall.
Eric was happy to have the chance to spend some time with Holly, who he had always thought of as a daughter. Eric was devastated when he learned Holly knew that he was the one responsible for her father's death, thanks to his own drunk driving crime. However, Holly finally came to terms with what happened and forgave Eric before he returned to Paris.
Vaughan's Days of our Lives history
Vaughan began his soap career in 2002 when he took on the role of Diego Guttierez on The Young and the Restless. He left Y&R in 2003 but played Lucky Spencer on General Hospital from 2003 to 2009. In 2012, he landed the role of Eric on Days of our Lives, bringing the character back to Salem as a priest after he had been gone for several years.
Vaughan has come and gone from DAYS multiple times, including in 2016 when Eric went to jail for driving drunk and killing Daniel (Shawn Christian). During that time, Vaughan starred in the OWN series Queen Sugar.
