Mark visited with Clyde in prison and told him that "Abigail" and Chad had gone to Paris and that she would seal the deal soon. Mark said if his sister's memory allegedly returned in Salem, she would involve the kids. "Abigail" was trying to prevent the children from being traumatized.

Clyde said he did his homework and knew Mark's sister was no saint. Mark said that his sister would soon be Mrs. DiMera. Clyde admitted that didn't work for him anymore. "The Widow DiMera. That's more like it," Clyde said.

Mark said he thought Clyde only wanted to drain bank accounts. Clyde thought that was too messy. He felt that an inheritance would be easier to take in one step. Mark was stunned when Clyde revealed that he would soon be released.

Clyde explained that since "Abigail" was supposedly alive, there was no murder conviction. As for the drug ring and other stuff, Clyde's lawyer assured him that he found procedural infractions that would throw out the whole case.

Clyde said he would soon be a free man. Mark wondered why Cyde would risk his freedom by murdering Chad. Mark asked if Clyde would send a hitman. Clyde said Mark was the hitman. "You've got blood on your hands no matter what happens. Either Chad dies or your mama does," Clyde said.

In Paris, Chad showed "Abigail" their French home. She spotted a painted trowel, and he told her the story of when she bought it at a street fair. "Abby" said she didn't remember her art expertise but was happy to be there. Chad got some wine for them to celebrate their Parisian reunion.

Chad recounted their experiences in Paris, telling his alleged wife that they would take the kids to the park every Sunday. Chad said the park had an artificial waterfall and grotto, and she made him recreate a music video there. Abigail said she remembered the song and could picture him making the video. They shared memories and laughs. "Abigail" said it seemed like they were very happy there.

Chad told "Abigail" about more challenging times when he worked too much and they grew distant. That's when Austin Reed showed up. He was going through his own marital problems with Carrie Brady and wanted more from Abigail, but she stopped it. Chad said they overcame many obstacles together, so he knew they would get through this situation.

Suddenly, "Abigail" claimed that she was remembering things. She said it wasn't memories, but more like feelings. She remembered hearing the pitter-patter of the kids' footsteps on the floor and how the light came through the window. "For the first time, I feel like me," she said. Chad excitedly hugged her, but that wasn't all she said she remembered. "I remember you. I remember how much I love you," "Abby" lied.

Chad and Abigail kissed and embraced. Chad told her how happy he was that she could remember how much they loved one another. As things heated up, Chad started to undress. Abigail stopped him. "Wait! I can't do this," she said.

Abigail remembered telling Mark how much she hated hurting Chad after all he had been through but knew there was no alternative. Abigail turned to Chad and told him she didn't think it was a good idea to be intimate yet. "I think we should do something first. What if we got married?" Abigail asked.

Maggie visited Julie and asked her what it was like when she met Abigail. Julie said Abigail looked nothing like the Abby they knew. Julie noted that Abigail had the eyes of a stranger, and she was very cold. Maggie told Julie that Chad hoped Abigail would remember more in Paris.

Maggie updated Julie about Sarah's condition. Julie said that Maggie was the best person to support Sarah as Maggie had been paralyzed. Maggie noted that she had surgery and didn't think Sarah would have that kind of miracle.

Julie said she didn't like Xander. Maggie said he was the love of Sarah's life but admitted that Xander had been obsessed with getting revenge on Brady. Maggie noted that Xander may have let it go now that Brady was facing justice. Julie said it was fortuitous that just as Brady was off the hook, Sarah suddenly remembered he was the driver.

Maggie asked if Julie thought that Sarah had lied. Julie said she would do anything to make Brady pay if it were her. Julie and Maggie agreed that Brady was a good person with an illness who made a terrible decision. Maggie said that once Brady was incarcerated, Xander and Sarah could move forward with their lives and heal.

Julie and Maggie discussed how Sarah got her memory back and hoped "Abigail "would also. Maggie said Abigail swore to tell the kids that their mother was alive when she returned. Julie said it sounded like a lot was riding on the trip to Paris.

Julie was incensed that all the misery in the family went back to Clyde. She noted that Clyde was in supermax and couldn't hurt another member of the family ever again.

Sarah told EJ she could not identify Brady as the driver. EJ said she already did, and thanks to her eyewitness account, they were able to arrest Brady. Sarah said she made a mistake, and EJ needed to release Brady immediately.

EJ questioned why Sarah was suddenly changing her story. Sarah said she couldn't lie. EJ said Sarah either lied when she said Brady was behind the wheel or that she was lying now. Xander argued that Sarah was the most honest person he knew. "Except when it comes to the paternity of her children," EJ said.

Sarah told EJ that she had been dishonest in the past, something she wasn't proud of. "Which is why I can't stand by my previous statement," Sarah said. Sarah knew she couldn't let Brady go down for something she was no longer sure he did. EJ didn't care.

EJ told Sarah that her sworn statement guaranteed the mayor that Brady would be convicted. EJ said he wouldn't have egg on his face from Sarah changing her mind. Xander asked if EJ's ego was so fragile that he would protect it by convicting an innocent man. "Give it up, Xander. We all know Brady is guilty, and I promise you this: If Sarah retracts her statement, I will have her arrested and charged with perjury," EJ threatened.

Sarah told EJ she made a mistake and begged him to release Brady. EJ said that Brady would serve 10 years when convicted. EJ told them that if Brady didn't spend that time behind bars, Sarah would take his place.

After EJ walked out, Xander regretted not knocking EJ's out. Xander noted that Kristen knew what a "stubborn bastard" her brother was and wondered if she would hand over the serum anyway. Xander said he would handle it and went looking for Kristen.

At Small Bar, Eric spotted Fiona. He recalled seeing Fiona and Sarah talking in the park about keeping a secret. Eric introduced himself to Fiona and said he had learned that she and Brady were romantically involved. Eric said he knew Fiona was with Brady the night of Sarah's hit-and-run and that he was trying to fill in the blanks.

Fiona told Eric she had spent most of that day with Xander and Sarah. Fiona had gotten a text from Brady asking her to join him at the bar. Fiona admitted she and Brady had been together a while, but she had planned to end things with him that night.

Fiona said that when she got to the bar, Brady was arguing with the waiter, and she had helped de-escalate the situation. Fiona said Brady kept drinking, and then he left, got in his car, and hit Sarah.

Eric said that Fiona implied that Brady had left alone, but the waiter had told him that Fiona and Brady had left together. Fiona added that Brady initially left alone, but she went after him and offered to call a cab.

Fiona said if she had known what would happen, she would have done everything humanly possible to stop Brady. She told Eric she took a cab to her hotel. Later, Xander called her to tell her about Sarah. Eric asked if Fiona had been drinking that night. Fiona lied, saying she was a recovering alcoholic and never drank.

Fiona said she didn't want to think about that painful night anymore. Eric thanked her for her time and left. Once alone, Fiona hoped that Eric had bought her story. She decided not to think about it and drank a martini.

Meanwhile, Eric went to see Sarah. "I need to ask you something, and I want you to be honest with me. Is Brady innocent? Are you covering for your mother-in-law?" Eric asked.
