Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Days of our Lives

While Marlena fighting off Orpheus with some clearly bullet-proof luggage was masterful, we still have a problem with why Orpheus is so hellbent on getting revenge against John when it wasn't John who killed his wife. Since the late 1980s, Orpheus has had one quest in life — making the person who cost him his wife pay. However, that person was Roman Brady. When Orpheus first arrived in Salem all those years ago, everyone believed that John was Roman. As the story goes, Roman and John were ISA agents together, and Roman caused a mission to go wrong, leading to the death of Orpheus' wife. He even kidnapped Marlena and held her on his island for a few years so Marlena could raise his children. When Orpheus resurfaced in 2016, fans pointed out that Orpheus' beef should be with Roman and not John, but DAYS has ignored this fact for nearly a decade. Watching Orpheus once again declare his hatred for John, a man who never actually did anything to him, was both comical and exasperating. We guess we are just rolling with this revised history now cause a new story seems to have emerged as canon. At least we know that Orpheus' escape artist skills are still intact, considering how silently he freed himself from zip ties. What kind of ISA agent is Andrew that he was standing four feet from the guy but didn't manage to notice him escape? Revoke his badge now!
