Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives
We've been waiting for 'Who Shot EJ?' for months, and now the moment has finally arrived. While EJ hadn't been shot yet by the end of today's episode, it was pretty clear what was coming. Amazingly, the build-up has been quite soapy on a soap that spent much of last year parodying the genre. Almost everyone who had a motive to kill EJ was featured in the April 2nd episode, with some of them grabbing guns. Between Ava, Johnny, Gabi, and Roman, anyone can be the culprit, but the suspect list was just part of this buildup. True to character, EJ had a one-way conversation with Stefano DiMera's portrait. The Phoenix always managed to come out on top (until he didn't), and EJ was proud to be his father's son. EJ was downright giddy, believing he'd gotten away with all his dastardly deeds over the last few months. As we watched his big, bright, diabolical smile wash across his face, we knew exactly what was coming and knew it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. EJ was about to find out that he hadn't won after all. In fact, he could lose everything. This is exactly what soaps are all about, and we're thrilled that Days of our Lives is finally doing it right. Now, let the mystery begin...
