Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Days of our Lives

Chanel got herself in a frenzy again today as she tried to impress Amy Choi so Johnny and Chanel could adopt Tate and Sophia's baby. Her nerves turned to joy when Amy gave her seal of approval, but then quickly waned when Amy spotted a story in The Spectator about "DiMeras in Disarray" — but why? 'Janel's' sudden desperate need to adopt a baby — specifically this baby — has never made any sense and continues to confound us. Their family has already warned them that adopting a baby who is already a family will be difficult, while Kayla has told them they could very possibly have a baby of their own in a few months, so why the rush? The couple has just been through months of marital trouble where jealousy got in the way, leading Chanel to walk out on Johnny twice in a short period of time. Now, they are obsessed with becoming parents when they have barely been happily married. Even when Amy had nixed the adoption idea, Johnny and Chanel could have looked for another pregnant woman wanting to give her child up for adoption. However, they are stuck on this baby for no real reason except to develop a plot point, it seems. We are also not sure why Sophia is so worried about her mother's approval when she already pointed out that she will be 18 and legally able to make her own decisions before the baby is born. Make it make sense! Please!
