Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Sometimes, soaps can play tricks on you, and we weren't sure if that was happening when EJ seemed to emerge from his coma to have a long chat with Belle. We have seen the trick dream sequence before when we know something can't really be happening, and then the dream ends before the scene ends. This time, however, Belle's dream transcended commercial breaks. The only reason we knew this couldn't be real was because a comatose EJ told Belle that he was in a coma, but it was a much better alternative than being dead. Once we got that out of the way, the scenes became fun. EJ chided and goaded Belle into finally confessing that she loved him, something she clearly did not want to do. But once she did, the relief on her face was evident. She said her true feelings out loud, prompting comatose EJ (or at least the version in Belle's imagination) to contentedly close his eyes and stop talking. He got what he wanted, so it was back to a medically induced slumber for EJ. Too bad Belle didn't get what she wanted, as she said the words again when her imagination wasn't working in overdrive. That's when Sami walked in, setting the scene for a Thursday showdown. But kudos for Days of our Lives for giving us a delightful little interlude showcasing Belle and EJ's banter and chemistry before Hurricane Sami swoops in and all hell breaks loose.
