Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives

The DiMera clan has been wreaking havoc in Salem for more than 40 years, with international crime after international crime dominating the headlines. Stefano DiMera was absolutely diabolical, and his many returns from the dead definitely made the pages of the Salem Spectator. EJ's 2014 shooting and eventual return from the dead also became media fodder, as did Johnny's bout with devil possession a few years back. Yet somehow, Amy Choi did not know any of this when she was approached about letting Johnny and Chanel adopt Tate and Sophia's baby. When she walked into the DiMera mansion for that calamitous luncheon in February, she didn't even know that EJ and Nicole had split up, despite the baby switch that led to the divorce also making the news. She thought she was there to meet the church-going, wholesome DiMeras that had never existed in any plane of soap reality. She even seemed surprised when Chanel confessed that she and Johnny were not quite as religious as they had claimed to be. Did she not see that 2023 headline news detailing Chanel's arrest for the alleged murder of her college professor's wife after Chanel had an affair with said professor? Seriously, has Amy Choi been living under a rock her entire life? How does she only have a problem with EJ DiMera and believe the rest of the clan isn't somewhat problematic, to put it mildly? Make it make sense!
