The Daily Y.A.P.P. for Days of our Lives, April 18: So long to Salem's chaos agents. Sob.

Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

What a week it's been on Days of our Lives! Two of our all-time favorites were back, making Salem feel like home again — a chaotic home, but also a familiar one. However, one week wasn't enough. Hurricanes Sami and Vivian blew into town and then made a quiet retreat on a plane together, two old frenemies defying gravity before making more mischief. Both characters served their purpose over a few short days, but the DAYS were too short for us. Sami arrived to find her sister confessing her love to Sami's comatose ex-husband. She then had to explain to her son the circumstances behind his conception from her point of view. Then, she slept with Rafe, who mistakenly believed Jada had slept with Shawn (again). As for Vivian, she managed to send Maggie on a rampage while blowing up Xander and Philip's lives, but it was all in a day's work. She even got to rattle Gabi's cage while she was at it, reminding us that Vivian had not just forged two documents during her last Salem stint. She has Stefan hidden somewhere after forging his signature on his divorce papers. When Vivian and Sami ran into one another in Horton Town Square while waiting for a ride share, the delight on their faces only matched the delight on ours. For one brief moment, we got to watch two old 1990s favorites back where they belong — together. They have so much to catch up on and don't even know where to start. Maybe on their flight they can dream up a new plot for their next Salem return.
