Ava watched as Stefan asked EJ. if EJ had slept with Gabi that morning. At first, EJ was coy, but Stefan warned that he would testify that Jude Brady was Eric's son and that EJ had hid his paternity. EJ admitted that he and Gabi had not slept together that morning.
After EJ left, Stefan told Ava that he still believed Gabi and EJ had slept together that morning. Stefan lamented that Gabi led two to one in cheating. "Want to help me even the score?" Stefan asked. Ava was offended. Stefan doubled down on his suggestion and enraged Ava.
Ava told Stefan that he and Gabi had gotten revenge on each other in an adolescent way. Stefan said she was a friend, and he hadn't realized he was offensive. "The fact that you didn't know speaks volumes," Ava snapped, ordering, "Take your friendship and your stupid offer and shove it!"
Ava told Stefan that she would rather sling hash for Roman day and night than work for "a clueless, misogynistic ass." Stefan apologized and agreed with Ava's assessment. He said the idea of Gabi and his brother made him mad. Ava said that was his problem, not hers. "If you're so desperate to even the score with your wife in that sleazy way, I'm sure there are plenty of women who would be happy to help you, but I am not one of them," Ava said before walking out.

Connie looked at the chairs where Melinda and the unconcious Gabi were tied, and said, "Two bitches with one stone." She told Melinda that she was going to get a bomb to blow up the DiMera mansion, killing them at the same time. After Connie left, Melinda woke Gabi, and they compared notes about Connie, Li Shin, and Everett.
Gabi spotted her phone on the ground and tried to bounce her chair to get closer but couldn't reach it. The two women tried screaming for help, to no avail. EJ called and left a message, prompting Gabi and Melinda to get distracted and talk about Stefan.
Kristen talked to Chad and asked about Abigail. Kristen wondered if Abigail was an imposter, but Chad didn't know what the motivation could be if it were a hoax. Kirsten said Abigail could be after the DiMera fortune, but Chad pointed out that she wanted to live apart. "She's moving so slow, she's in reverse," Chad said. He left to take a phone call as Connie walked by.
Kristen stopped Connie to confront her. "I know what you did, Ms. Vininski. You overheard Ava and me talking about Stefan, and then you told Gabi my brother was cheating on her," Kristen said. Connie said Gabi deserved to know. "Because of you, I had to fire Ava and turn lives upside down. Consider yourself put on notice. Gabi answers to me, and so do you. Watch your step," Kristen warned. "Watch yours, bitch," Connie muttered as she walked away.
Chad returned and told Kristen that there was an APB on Connie. Kristen said she had seen Connie and would call the police. Chad left to get the kids out of the park.
At the hospital, Abigail showed Mark the message she had received from Clyde. Abigail said she didn't know how to get Chad to marry her that quickly. She noted that Chad knew private details about his life with Abigail that she couldn't possibly know. Abigail worried that she would get caught lying. Mark told his sister they had no choice but to keep up the lies because Clyde held all the cards.
Abigail said Chad had recited his wedding vows, and it had moved her. Mark wondered if Abigail was catching feelings for Chad. Abigail said she just felt guilty because Chad was a good guy. Abigail worried Steve was asking too many questions, so Mark said he would deal with Clyde.
At the prison, Steve called Kayla and explained that Shane had pulled some strings to get him in to see Weston. A guard opened the door, and Clyde walked in. Steve said he had questions about Abigail. Steve wanted to know "how John Black, who wasn't even involved in this case, was found tied to a chair in the same Poplar Bluff location where Abigail was being held."
Clyde said he had associates with multiple income sources, and they were using his safe house for another boss. "To imprison another person who just happens to be from Salem without your authorization?" Steve asked. Steve said he knew Clyde hadn't gotten the deal he'd wanted when he'd given up information about Abigail. "I have connections with the ISA; they got me in here. If you're willing to give me truthful answers, I might be able to get them to reciprocate on my behalf and get you out of here," Steve said. Clyde laughed at Steve and called his bluff.
Mark saw Steve leave then went in to talk to Clyde. "My lawyer, Jackie Chiles! Glad you put the fake credentials to good use," Clyde said. Clyde told Mark that Steve didn't believe Abigail was the person they claimed. Mark said that Clyde needed to stop pressuring Abigail. "If she moves too fast, it'll make people more suspicious," Mark explained. Clyde yelled that Abigail and Chad needed to marry as soon as possible so that Clyde could take the entire DiMera fortune. Clyde told Mark to make it happen, or they would never see their mom again.
Chad arrived downstairs and was surprised to find Abigal in his living room. "The kids are upstairs. What are you doing here?" he asked. Abigail hid her notes before he saw them and told Chad she'd remembered something.
EJ left a message for Gabi and said that he knew she wanted to make Stefan's life miserable, but he felt blindsided by his brother's questions. EJ asked Gabi to call him back so they could get their stories straight. EJ noticed the bloody fire poker on the ground. Picking it up, EJ said, "Is that…blood?"
When Connie returned, she noticed that Gabi had moved her chair, and Connie took Gabi's phone away. Connie said it didn't matter and pulled out a bomb. Melinda and Ava begged Connie to change her mind, but she was determined to kill them. Before leaving, Connie turned on the switch. The timer started to count down from two and a half minutes as Melinda and Gabi screamed.
