Sarah and Xander's Days of our Lives double wedding didn't go right, but there's no reason not to try again.
Days of our Lives spoilers tease another wedding day for Sarah and Xander, that Salem couple who can never seem to get it together.
When Sarah and Xander tried marrying in 2020, the bride learned the groom was behind the baby switch that resulted in her believing Kristen's baby was her own, when her own newborn had died. On the eve of their 2021 wedding, Kristen kidnapped Sarah. In 2022, Sarah and Xander finally had a successful wedding, but they did not have a successful marriage.
By 2023, they were divorced, but Sarah gave birth to their daughter, Victoria, by fall, and they eventually found their way back to one another. Xander's mom interrupted their July 2024 double wedding with Alex and Theresa. That's when she broke the news that Xander, not Alex, was really Victor's son. However, the couple will try again this week and finally succeed.
DAYS tweeted a wedding pic in Horton Town Square, teasing the nuptials and asking, "Anxiously waiting to see if #xarah wedding will happen soon. How 'bout you?"
DAYS breakdown writer Jamey Giddens also tweeted about the event and explained why the August 7 episode is so special to him.
"TUNE IN ALERT: Xander Kiriakis & Dr. Sarah Horton cordially invite you to their wedding this week!" he wrote. "Will it go off without a hitch? Wednesday's episode marks my 1st since returning as a Breakdown Writer for #DAYS!"
Sarah has spent the last two weeks trying to plan another wedding and get Xander's mother, Fiona, to attend. She wants her daughter to know her other grandmother, but Xander isn't sure he can forgive his mother for lying about his paternity his entire life. She also abandoned him. Hearing her sob story about being in a mental institution has Xander cracking, but he doesn't know she is lying about being sober.
Will Xander want Fiona there? Even with Sarah and Xander becoming husband and wife, Fiona could still cause even more trouble than she did a few weeks ago. Perhaps she will bring a date, her new drinking buddy, Brady. That would certainly cause quite a stir.
