One of Days of our Lives' Emmy-nominated performers has apparently wrapped up her time in Salem. Lindsay Arnold has finished taping scenes for the Peacock soap.
In what many Days of our Lives fans will see as a shocking development, Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton) has wrapped up her run on the show.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Arnold has finished taping with the Peacock-based soap. Digest doesn't report when she finished taping or what the soap has planned for the character. Days of our Lives has typically filmed five to six months ahead of broadcast, so it is possible that Arnold could air well into the summer.
Arnold first appeared as Allie in June 2020 and found herself immediately part of a front burner story: Allie had been raped, and she had become pregnant. Allie has remained a central focus of DAYS' storytelling ever since -- including a short stint as Satan and later as part of the first soap opera threesome.

It's no wonder that Arnold told us that she learned something about herself pretty quickly after joining DAYS.
"I learned I can cry pretty easily! And I feel like that has transpired to my real life, where I am crying a lot more just on the daily now. Something will happen, and I'm like, 'Why is this affecting me so much?!'" Arnold told Soap Central with a laugh. "And I think it's just because my brain is like, 'Girl, you are always crying at work.' I don't even know. But I think it has made me appreciate my days off a little more. There is always so much emotion happening when we are on set, so it is nice to be in my real life, because my real life is very chill and very relaxed compared to what I'm doing when I'm at work in this high intensity [environment]. So, it makes you appreciate your own calmness in your life a little bit more."
For her work on DAYS, Arnold received a 2022 Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Younger Performer category.
It turns out, Arnold said that playing the Devil has been her favorite DAYS storyline so far. "I had so much fun with it. You just got to be absolutely horrible and mean to everyone, and I was having the best time. It's so different than my usual character; Allie is very sweet and more quiet and just a little bit more reserved, so, just getting to be completely out of pocket, which was super up my alley."
Soap Central has reached out to Days of our Lives for comment, but the show has not responded.
