From a CIA agent in the Netflix series Obliterated to a murderer in the Jon Keeyes film The Last Girl, this summer will see Shelley Hennig (ex-Stephanie Johnson, Days of our Lives) tackling quite opposite roles.
Shelley Hennig will be a busy bee this summer with two new projects. The Days of our Lives alum (ex-Stephanie Johnson) has landed both a Netflix series and a thriller film.
The much-anticipated Netflix project is an action comedy series from the creators of Cobra Kai called Obliterated. Hennig will lead opposite Nick Zano in the eight-episode high-octane project that tells the story of an elite Special Forces team that thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their celebratory party filled with booze, drugs, and sex, the team discovers that a bomb they deactivated was a fake. The now-intoxicated team has to fight through their impairments, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world.
According to Deadline, Zano plays Chad McKnight, the head of an elite SEAL team who loves him despite his reputation for being a wild guy on and off the job. The night from hell in Vegas will test his commitment to both keeping the good times going and saving the world while he's at it.

Hennig plays Ava Winters, a CIA lead agent who likes to play by the book while overseeing the Special Forces team. But the book gets thrown out the window when she and the team have to go back to work while impaired.
In addition to Obliterated, Hennig has landed a pivotal role in the Jon Keeyes thriller The Last Girl, which will head into production in Ireland this summer. The film, as reported by Deadline, stars Alice Eve as a private investigator forced into a dangerous alliance with a killer (Hennig) in order to uncover a quiet town's grisly criminal underbelly and clear the name of her mentor (Banderas), who is implicated in the crimes.
Hennig starred as DAYS' Stephanie from 2007 to 2011. She left the NBC soap to take on other projects and eventually starred in the horror film Unfriended, the MTV series Teen Wolf , and the Netflix rom-com When We First Met. She also starred in the Hulu series Dollface with Kat Dennigs and the Netflix series The Woman in the House with Kristen Bell. She recently wrapped filming on Teen Wolf: The Movie and can currently be seen in the supernatural comedy Gatlopp.
What do you think of the casting and premise of Hennig's two new projects? Which role do you think she'll play best: a CIA agent or a killer? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
