Days of our Lives fans who want to see Christmas in Salem will have to turn to the soap's holiday film, A Very Salem Christmas, because what's ahead on the network version of the soap sounds more like a continuation of Halloween. A possessed Marlena will continue to summon sinister Salemites, and this time she's bringing back a real nightmare: Jan Spears!
Actress Heather Lindell reprised her role as the mischievous meddler back in March, and fans watched in horror as it was revealed that Jan had murdered Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) and tried to frame Belle (Martha Madison) for the crime. The character has been in a coma since June, following an altercation in which she shot Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) and was then knocked unconscious by Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson). However, MarDevil is set to bring Jan out of her coma on Monday, December 20 -- and all hell is going to break loose in the lead-up to Christmas!
According to official show teasers, once Jan wakes, she and MarDevil will concoct a scheme to punish Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle. How will they do that, you might ask? Well, Jan will once again use her deceitful tactics to trick Shawn into meeting her. And of course, he and Belle will be horrified by what she has in store...
The show hasn't released any other teasers about the scheme that Jan has planned for the Bradys, but the soap's winter preview promo gave a pretty big indication that it's going to be an "OMG" moment. The teaser clip shows Belle walking in on Shawn, who's in bed with Belle -- and no, that's not a typo! There are going to be two Belles in Salem this Christmas, which makes one wonder: is one of them really Jan?! Be sure to tune in to DAYS the week of December 20 to find out.
