Days of our Lives' Bill and Susan Hayes launch Secrets of Soap Opera Lovers website

Everyone always asks Days of our Lives' Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes the secrets of their long-lasting marriage, so the couple has decided to share the recipe to their relationship success on a new platform called Secrets of Soap Opera Lovers.

They say all you need is love, but real-life Days of our Lives couple Bill Hayes (Doug Williams) and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie Williams) know that you need just a little bit more to achieve long-lasting relationship happiness. Fortunately, the beloved soap couple -- who have been married a whopping 47 years -- are sharing the secrets to their happy marriage on a new platform called Secrets of Soap Opera Lovers.

Created with the help of their grandson, producer David Samuel, the pair's website features video interviews in which the lovebirds reveal all the secrets to their relationship success. And they are definitely the couple to listen to when it comes to these things! Having met on the set of DAYS, they shared their first kiss on July 23, 1970 -- it was as their characters, Doug and Julie, but the pair eventually went on to get married in real life four years later, on October 12, 1974.

The couple then had the pleasure of marrying again, this time as their fictional characters Doug and Julie, on October 1, 1976. Decades later, the Hayeses are still kissing -- on-screen and off! -- and they are happy to share everything they've learned about maintaining a loving, fulfilling relationship.
