Fans of Days of our Lives' Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton) might be in for a super magical treat this holiday season. The actress is reportedly coming home to Salem just in time for the Horton family Christmas ornament hanging.
The news comes from dedicated fan Kelli Gustafson, who spoke with Reeves and her husband, Scott Reeves (ex-Jake Hogansen, DAYS; ex-Steve Webber, General Hospital; ex-Ryan McNeil, The Young and the Restless), at a fan event in Tennessee.
"Missy will be back for the Christmas episode," Gustafson posted, followed by, "She said she was coming back for that ep but I didn't push her for more info. I really wish I would have though.... She said she'll be there for ornament hanging! This is a Christmas miracle."

Reeves, who first joined the soap in 1985, opted not to return when DAYS resumed production in September 2020 following the industry-wide shutdown caused by COVID-19. The actress stated that she wanted to stay close to home, where both of her children -- Emily and Larry -- welcomed new babies.
Soap alum Cady McClain (ex-Dixie Cooney, All My Children; ex-Rosanna Cabot, As the World Turns; ex-Kelly Andrews, The Young and the Restless) temporarily stepped into the role of Jennifer while Reeves was unavailable, and she ended up winning this year's Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Guest Performer category.
