Get ready for A Christmas & Postre, a Latinx holiday film directed by Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston Wilde, One Life to Live) that stars Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez, Days of our Lives), Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan Horton, DAYS), and David Fumero (ex-Cristian Vega, OLTL).
There are new details that will make A Christmas & Postre, a super sweet holiday film being cooked up by a daytime alum, an even sweeter treat. As Soap Central reported back in April, the Latinx film is the directorial debut of Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston Underwood, OLTL). But more exciting news was recently revealed: the fun movie features Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez, Days of our Lives), Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan Horton, DAYS), and David Fumero (ex-Cristian Vega, One Life to Live)!
According to Deadline, A Christmas & Postre follows Banus in the leading role of Carmen, a quirky and lovable pastry chef who dreams of one day opening her very own Puerto Rican postre (Spanish for dessert) shop like the one her family owned on the island. In the meantime, she showcases her treats at a local coffee shop, Coqui, where she works with her sister, Pilar.
When local hotel owner Victor Flores (Fumero) discovers Carmen's talents, her offers her a coveted pastry chef position for his grand holiday event known for bolstering the careers of pastry chefs. Carmen is paired with perfectionist chef Jax (Hapka), whom she frequently disagrees with. As they race against the clock to assemble their intricate holiday menu, Carmen and Jax realize they have a lot to learn from one another and eventually come together to create a truly inspired menu just in time for Christmas.
