Nicole Walker is back, and portrayer Arianne Zucker says she's thrilled to be back in the shoes of her troublemaking Days of our Lives alter ego.

Fans of Days of our Lives have been chomping at the bit to get Nicole Walker back in Salem, and their wish is about to come true: Arianne Zucker will be back on the canvas as her love-to-hate (and believed to be dead) character on Thursday, April 25.

As fans of the actress know, Zucker stepped away from daytime back in 2017 to focus on her family and other projects. And she tells Soap Opera Digest that the break was much appreciated.

"I was so grateful to have that time off, just for my personal life and work outside the soap, and time with my daughter," she says.

However, the actress is ready and raring to dive back into Nicole's life, which she shares has been a surprisingly easy transition.

"It just really is such a home. It's bizarre," she reveals. "And I mean that in the best way possible because you just jump right back in the pool."

At this time, it's unclear what's in store for Nicole's shocking return to the canvas. But the show teased back in late 2018 that Zucker will be sharing the screen with Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady), and Gilles Marini (Ted Laurent) in "thrilling and hard-hitting scenes" upon her "explosive return to the canvas."

To find out what brings Zucker's alter ego back to the canvas and to see the explosive storyline twists her surprise reappearance will bring, be sure to tune in to Nicole's return to DAYS on Thursday, April 25.
