DAYS casting slew of new faces

Hot on the heels of the exit of several Days of our Lives characters comes word that the soap is on the hunt for a slew of new characters.

A casting bonanza is happening over at Days of our Lives, which is reportedly on the hunt for several actors to step into the roles of numerous upcoming short-term characters.

The NBC soap has put out casting calls for the following six roles:

• MARK: a gorgeous and rebellious high school jock whose father is a strict judge

• JUDGE AVERY: a 50- to 55-year-old judge who finds his property vandalized by teenagers

• HAL: a handsome 38- to 45-year-old father of a 19-year-old girl

• CLARK: a 38- to 46-year-old "hot bad boy"

• SIMONE: a beautiful hippie chick in her late 30s who's African American, Hispanic, or Asian

• DR. ROBINSON: a 40- to 50-year-old psychiatrist who's either African American or Asian

All of the above roles are said to begin filming in November.
