A blast from the past will make her presence known next month, but it might not be quite what fans expect. Susan Banks will make a brief appearance, but since Eileen Davidson is now on Y&R, DAYS has opted to recast the role.
Susan Banks will make an appearance on Days of our Lives next month -- but the role will be played by a new actress.
Soap Opera Digest reports that One Life to Live vet Brynn Thayer (ex-Jenny Wolek) will take on the role on a one-time basis.
Susan was last spotted on DAYS in 1998 when she was played by Eileen Davidson. Davidson, who has since moved on to play Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless, earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for her work as Susan -- and four other roles at the same time.

Thayer appeared on One Life to Live for eight years starting in the late 1970s. She also appeared as Kylie Quinlan on General Hospital in 1994.
Thayer makes her brief appearance on December 7.
