"We always love it when members of our beloved family return to Salem," Corday told TV Insider. "Fans are really going to enjoy what we have in store beginning this fall and well into next year."

The long-awaited comebacks have already begun. Sal Stowers, Lamon Archey, Matthew Ashford, and Melissa Reeves brought their characters home for Thanksgiving, but Doug's tragic death will usher in even more returns in the coming days.

Expect to see Kristian Alfonso's Hope Brady, Victoria Konefal's Ciara Brady, Brandon Beemer's Shawn Brady, and Martha Madison's Belle Black. In addition, old favorites who haven't been seen in decades will also make appearances next week, including Gloria Loring's Liz Chandler, Stephen Schnetzer's Steven Olson, and Maree Cheatham's Marie Horton.

In 2025, other familiar faces will make their way back to your screens. Salem welcomes home Tony and Anna DiMera, along with Anna's daughter, Carrie Brady, played by Thaao Penghlis, Leann Hunley, and Christie Clark, respectively. You'll also get a taste of Charles Shaughnessy as Shane Donovan and Emily O'Brien as his daughter, Theresa.

Alison Sweeney will be back to cause trouble as Sami deals with the fallout of Johnny, learning that he was a product of rape. Johnny has always believed his parents were in love when he was conceived, but he is about to discover the horrible truth and come to terms with what his father did to his mother one fateful night.

Alfonso will also be back in the spring, and this time, she is bringing Peter Reckell with her as forever Salem hero Bo Brady. Bo has been lingering in a coma since 2023 after Shawn shot him, thinking he was saving his mother. Hope has been by his side ever since but briefly leaves Greece to bid farewell to her dad, Doug.

In fact, Alfonso has said that we might learn more about Bo any day. When Soap Opera Digest asked the actress if we'll learn more about Hope's comatose love, Alfonso replied, "Possibly — with an exclamation point and a question mark!"
