In his DiMera bedroom, Chad gazed at a picture of him and Abigail. Kristen entered the room and told Chad that she had heard the news. She was curious as to the whereabouts of “this woman who claims to be Abigail.” Chad snapped that the woman was not just claiming to be Abigail but actually was Abigail. Kristen again asked where Abigail had gone, and Chad said she had needed time alone.

Chad and Kristen’s talk turned to Abigail’s memory of the stabbing. Kristen questioned if the account was really a memory. She reminded Chad that the details of the stabbing were public knowledge, and only Clyde could corroborate them. Chad grew hostile at Kristen’s seeming skepticism and demanded she directly say what she had been implying. Kristen contended that she was just looking out for her “baby brother,” and she compelled Chad to consider the possibility that the woman might be a fraud. Chad blew off the thought and insisted, less assuredly, that Abigail was back with him.

Kristen backed off and hugged Chad. She promised to be there for him and left Chad to once again mull over the photograph of him and Abigail during happier times.

In the park, “Abigail” frantically texted someone and asked where they were. Just then, Dr. Mark Greene arrived and announced that he was “right here.” He broke into a smile, and “Abigail” hugged him. When she pulled back, “Abigail” bemoaned living in the “mausoleum” and having people staring at her and expecting “the old Abigail” to return. Chad had especially gotten to her with his “puppy dog eyes,” so she had wanted to “throw him a bone.”

Mark asked what “Abigail” had told Chad, and she admitted that she had claimed to have a memory about the night of the stabbing. Mark understood why “Abigail” had needed to take that step and assured her that they had gotten “the heavy lifting” out of the way. “Abigail” thanked him for fixing the DNA test results, and she admitted they had “worked like a charm.” Mark bragged that it had been easy to change the results, and he promised “Abigail” no one would be the wiser unless another test was run. He believed that he and “Abigail” made a good team, and he wanted to talk about the next part of their plan.

Before “Abigail” could respond, Chad approached and caught her off guard. She stammered out an explanation that she had been asking Mark for directions, and Mark quickly offered a polite greeting and retreated. Chad wanted to talk more about “Abigail’s” memory and asked if she remembered the color of the robe she had been wearing the night of Clyde's attack. “Abigail” took offense and wondered why Chad was interrogating her.

When “Abigail” asked if Chad doubted her, he clarified that he didn’t but that his sister had gotten into his head. He reaffirmed his belief in his wife.

At John and Marlena’s place, Brady let Jada in and asked why she had wanted to see his car. She coolly replied that she needed to determine if Brady was Sarah’s hit-and-run driver. Brady balked and wondered why Jada would suspect him. Jada acknowledged that while there were many gray cars, she had discovered a partial license plate number. She again insisted that Brady show her his car. After a flashback to Brady finding the car missing, Brady responded that he couldn’t show Jada the car because it had been stolen.

Jada took Brady’s statement about the car and asked him when it had been stolen. Brady lied that the car had disappeared the morning before Sarah’s accident. Jada was puzzled because no theft report had been filed for the car, and Brady clarified that he hadn’t reported the vehicle stolen. He claimed that he’d had too much going on in his life to worry about the car, even though he knew grand theft auto was a serious crime. Jada wondered if the car thief might have been the hit-and-run driver.

Jada left, but not before securing a promise from Brady that he would make a statement about the car at the police station.

Later, Brady answered the door to Kristen. With irritation, he informed her that he couldn’t deal with her, since someone had stolen his car. Kristen stunned Brady by revealing that she had disposed of the car. Kristen explained that because of Brady’s condition the night of Sarah’s accident, she had thought he could have been the driver. Brady grudgingly admitted that he didn’t remember anything, and he conveyed his guilt at the possibility that he could have paralyzed Sarah.

Kristen told Brady to suck it up because Rachel would be devastated if her father was sent to prison. Brady hesitantly agreed to keep quiet.

In the parking garage, Jada surveyed the scene. Marlena arrived, and Jada updated her on Brady’s claim that his car had been stolen. Jada grew suspicious when Marlena indicated that Brady had made no mention of the theft, and Jada’s suspicion increased after Marlena confirmed that she had seen the car in the garage the night of Sarah’s accident. Following Marlena’s departure, Kristen came down to the garage and wished Jada well in her investigation.

In Fiona’s room, Fiona settled Victoria in the crib so that the little girl could play. Fiona then eyed a bottle of vodka on the table. When she heard a knock on the door and Xander’s voice calling out, she promptly retrieved the bottle and shoved it under the bed. After Xander entered, he cooed over Victoria then stated he would be doing better when the police apprehended the hit-and-run driver. Fiona tried to hide her discomfort after Xander revealed that the police had uncovered a partial license plate number for the car.

Fiona inquired about Sarah’s diagnosis, and Xander admitted that Sarah might never walk again. Fiona wondered if the diagnosis changed Xander’s feelings for Sarah. Xander insisted that he still considered himself “the luckiest man in the world” to have Sarah in his life and that nothing could change his love for her. He opened up about how he felt like the inadequate one, and he wasn’t sure he was the man Sarah needed him to be as she adapted to her new circumstances. Fiona comforted Xander and pledged her support with anything that Xander needed.

Fiona confided that she owed Xander because of her abandonment. Xander reassured his mother that he had forgiven her, and he hugged Fiona. Later, a guilt-ridden Fiona disposed of the vodka and vowed to be there for her son.

After leaving Fiona’s place, Xander encountered Jada in Horton Town Square. Jada revealed that she had a suspect in the hit-and-run.

At the Horton cabin, an angry Holly demanded to know what she had walked in on between Tate and Sophia. Tate tried to defend himself and claimed that Sophia had shown up unexpectedly. He insisted that he only wanted to be with Holly. Tate continued to ramble out an explanation, and Holly stopped hm and said that she believed him and trusted him. Tate expressed relief and affirmed his feelings for Holly with a kiss.

Tate changed the subject and asked Holly about her visit with Sarah. Holly believed that, given the circumstances, Sarah was doing as well as she could. Both Holly and Tate hoped for the apprehension of the driver who had hit Sarah. The teens sat down to share a doughnut, and Holly brought up seeing Mark at the hospital and the doctor’s observation that Aaron had been identified as “Tate Black” in lacrosse camp photographs. Tate panicked that Mark could know the truth, but Holly assured him that Mark likely believed the photos to be a mistake.

Tate mentioned that Mark had raised Aaron and Felicity since the kids’ parents had died. Holly thought Mark had to be a “great guy” to make such a commitment. The teens cuddled on the couch, and Tate again reassured Holly that she was the only one for him. Things grew awkward when they discussed what to do with their alone time. Holly suggested a swim, and Tate complied.

Later, Holly and an injured Tate returned to the cabin. He tried to say he was fine but winced in pain and grabbed his ankle. Tate reluctantly agreed to let Holly take him to the hospital. When the teens arrived at the hospital, they attempted to lay low. Mark entered the exam room, and a guilty Holly and Tate explained their situation to him and begged him to keep their secret. Mark hinted that he was good at keeping secrets and promised Tate that he could not disclose anything due to doctor/patient confidentiality.

Tate and Holly profusely thanked Mark, who indicated that Tate had a sprained ankle. Holly and Tate, who was on crutches, left the room and marveled at their good luck. However, before they could make a getaway, they ran into a shocked Brady.
