Is Peter Reckell ready to return to Days of Our Lives for good?

Are Days of Our Lives in for a treat? Could Peter Reckell and Bo Brady return to the soap for good after the actor's appearance this coming spring? Bo is, of course, an all-time fan favorite, along with his other half, Hope, portrayed by Kristian Alfonso. Together, Bo and Hope make up one of daytime’s strongest power couples — “Bope”.

A Days of our Lives fan's plea was music to Reckell’s ears

The inkling, and garnering for, a possible long-term return for Bo was brought about by an exchange on X between Peter and super fan @marino_angie on X (formerly Twitter), who posted: “Not many young actors have had the opportunity to work with professionals of this👇quality, now passed, in their first couple of years. Peter Reckell did. Would be great for him, a full circle moment, if he could fulfill that role now, with all the younger actors on the #Days set.”

Reckell responded to her post with a simple statement. “I would love be a regular on the show and join the talented veterans there," he said.

This exchange, of course, sent fans into a frenzy and they are now clamoring for the daytime veteran to return to the screen as a series regular once again as the beloved Bo Brady.

Reckell, who originated the role in 1983, has reprised the character on multiple occasions since Bo allegedly died in 2015.

In September, news broke of a confirmed return for both Bo and Hope next month for a short Salem stint. However, after seeing Reckell's exchange online, fans have restored hope that they may soon see Bo and Hope on their screens again, for good.

New life for Bo and Hope?

As has been proven time and time again, Days of our Lives fans are always ready to see Bope on their screens again. Support rang in from all over the world for Reckell to return as Bo for good with fans stating they'd love seeing the actors on their screens on a daily basis.

When we last saw Bo and Hope together, Bo was lingering in a coma in Greece. He seemed to squeeze her hand last December when Hope learned that Doug had died, but he remained comatose when she returned to Salem for Doug's funeral.

Will Bo become a series regular again? And will Hope be joining him and reigniting the flame of one of daytime TV’s longest-lasting supercouples?
