Fiona thinks she can get away with her crimes. “Abigail” is convinced that she has Chad right where she wants him. Are these ladies (and other Salemites) fooling themselves into a false sense of security!? Let’s dive into the madness in this week’s DAYS Two Scoops!
It’s happening! “Chabigail à Paris: Part Deux.” Only it’s not “Abby,” and I’m pretty sure Chad might not only get his heart broken, but perhaps he'll get murdered, as well. Eek! I feel like this storyline has plot holes the Eiffel Tower could jump through, but I’m also oddly into it.
For one, Billy Flynn could read the phone book, and he’d be brilliant. Add in AnnaLynne McCord and her amazingness, and I’m sold. Then we get the blunt brilliance that is Julie and Steve. Listen to them, Chad. Listen. To. Them.
There’ve been several storylines where Chad is presented as “Salem’s Heart.” This is another one. So many people love him, and he’ll certainly need them once the truth comes out.

Also, let’s loop Kate in on what’s going down. Ms. Roberts-Brady will go ballistic if someone hurts one of her “kids.” I’d love to see her go off on Clyde and all involved.
Still, I feel like we’re in for a Salem-sized October surprise. November is right around the corner. That is, November Sweeps. Unless the slate is being swiped clean to start anew next month, something tells me this isn’t the final chapter in the “Chabigail” saga. It would just be too cruel for it to end this way for Chad and the family.
In my heart of hearts, I hope that Chad is in the know and going along with Scamagail to see what her endgame is. This storyline simply makes me feel so sorry for our Chad Man. He doesn’t deserve what’s happening to him. Heck, even Fake Abby (Fabby!) feels this way. That’s got to tell you something.
Plus, I hope that Mama Greene makes it back safely. We’ve invested SO much time getting to know her, it would be a shame to lose her forever. Oh, wait. This better be a whopper of an outcome. Like, we’ve known her from years gone by under a different name or something, right?
Speaking of “outcomes,” Fiona’s rolling large, thinking she’s gotten away with the hit-and-run, but Sarah remembered! At least I’m pretty sure she did. That’s what it made it seem like at the end of Friday’s episode. I’m hesitant, though. We’ve been faked out before. Though if Sarah has remembered, what does this mean for Fiona!?
Serena Scott Thomas is just so amazing that I keep repeating, “I know I shouldn’t like Fiona, but…” Maybe “hate the game, not the player?” Okay. Fiona’s terrible, but Serena’s terribly terrific! There’s that. Best-case scenario, she ends up in Salem’s rogues’ gallery of recurring baddies. Worst case scenario, she’s “killed off,” which also likely means we’d see her again.
LOOSE ENDS:
I’m glad that Kristen trotted out Dr. Rolf’s scientific success stories. DJ Willy Helm has certainly had some bops! From Gemini Twins to too many backs from the dead—and more—he’s earned his shady but smarty pants street cred as a mad scientist who’s delivered miracles. So, when Xander asked, “Why should I believe a word you say?” I was all shades of colored confused, especially since Xanimal worked for Kristen in Dr. Rolf’s Memphis lab.
I loved Eric and Roman hashing out Sarah’s accident. Roman is the perfect guy to bounce ideas off. From fake faces to raven feathers, this man has seen it all. It’s fun to see this duo working together to help Brady. And it looks like things are about to be exposed!
It’s impossible not to be invested in any scene involving Brandon Barash and Cherie Jimenez. They’re great together. I feel like in the long run, “Stabi” is a safe investment as long as neither character is headed out of Salem. Their Gomez and Morticia vibe has staying power, despite what they’ve stated. It’s defied death and dumb decisions. These two will be fine…someday.
Stephanie and Alex did it…in a hospital bed…in the hospital that her mother runs…while they were both working. Were they trying to check all the cringey boxes? While the entire “Did they do it too soon!?” meta-ness of it all wasn’t lost on me, it was kind of more head-shaking than smoldering. I wanted better for them.
I feel Chanel’s pain. Watching Johnny lately is like pulling a muscle. It hurts. A lot. I hate what this storyline is doing to his character.
Seth is an interesting man. He is like early Melinda and written to fit where they need him, rather than letting him be a developed character. Maybe he and Ms. Trask need to sit down and have a chat.
Forget getting written off B&S! If I were Hattie, I’d be afraid of that faux fall down the elevator shaft simply because that necklace would likely impale me in several places. Although a fantastic piece of jewelry, it gave me so much anxiety.
Hattie vowed revenge and cursed the entire B&S production. Oh, Ms. Adams, you’re much too late for that. Like, all the “much too lates” for that! While I was initially invested, excited even, this soapy soap venture’s stocks are way down.
Though I feel like “Pineview going up in flames” is an omen. Will this be a Halloween episode or the end of the B&S storyline!? Or both, perhaps.
EXTRA SCOOPS
HOT
To my Two Scooping partner, Laurisa, cheers to a beautiful tribute to Drake Hogestyn in her column last week, Classic Black.
We began Two Scooping at the same time, and had a running joke for a while that Laurisa always landed the hard weeks. She did. Some truly brutal ones. That was probably divine intervention, as the Soap Gods knew she could handle the hard stuff better than yours truly. She has never failed to shine in even the darkest days. I love the weeks I’m off and get to be a fan, too—what lucky readers we are to have her. Thanks, partner.
NOT
I feel very, very and really, really robbed of a Nicole and Holly scene.
LINE(S) OF THE WEEK

RANDOM THOUGHTS
I will never not love Dan Feuerriegel’s hilarious deliveries of E.J.’s smugness. He’s so effortlessly epic. I crack up each and every time.
It’s funny that Tate and Holly act so far removed when they were partially raised together as tots, and they share a grandmother. Maggie is Holly’s bio granny and Tate’s step-great grandmother.
When Chad was speaking of Sundays in the park, Spanky and Our Gang’s song “Sunday Will Never Be the Same” popped into my head.
Thomas and Charolette are next-level adorable.
Bonnie’s red outfit was amazing.
Is it sad that one of my life goals is to have Maggie show up at my place with a bin of her famous lemon bars?
Faux-Abs’ “Good for me!” regarding not cheating on Chad with Austin made me chuckle.
Okay. Now the hospital establishing scenes are really confusing me. Is it in the middle of a forest or downtown? Within the city makes more sense, so I do like the new ones better.
I do remember that L.A. Law death scene! Leo nailed that one. It is rather infamous.
I feel like Leo and the waiter at Little Bar need to meet. At the very least, they could watch Drag Race together. Yet something tells me their game of sarcasm back and forth would be a wild ride.
We spend most of our time watching Deidre Hall as Marlena, who is, above all, one classy dame. So, watching her as Hattie is a hoot, especially when Ms. Adams spouts off zingers like, “Out on my adorable ass.” Ha! You can tell Dee has so much fun with this role.
How are we just now hearing about Chad and Abigail performing TLC’s “Waterfalls!?” I need to see footage of this. Though it would have been funny if, for a third person, they’d run into Sheila Watkins and asked her to do it. *Exaggerated stage wink and a groan*
PARTING THOUGHTS
So, friends and fellow fans, that’s it for October 14. If I may be sappy for a moment, I’d like to say a spectacularly huge “Thank you!” for always investing your time to read DAYS Two Scoops. Laurisa and I both appreciate it more than you know. Even wordy, rambley me doesn’t have the words for it, but “We’re lucky” and “tears of gratitude” come to my mind.
As a reminder, please follow Laurisa and me on X (The Artist Formerly Known as Twitter). Our handles are @LaurisaDays and @Tony_S_DAYS. We want to make sure if there’s news to be had, we can share it with you! On that note, Laurisa will be back next week. As always, thank you for reading, and “That’s a fact.”
