Days of Our Lives and Kennedy Garcia celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

Days of Our Lives fans were thrown for a loop when it appeared that Abigail had come back from the dead, only to turn out to be an impostor. AnnaLynne McCord played the fake Abby, who turned out to really be Cat Greene, the daughter of Catherina Meleounis (Ellie Patrikios) and the sister of Mark (Jonah Robinson), Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) and Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo). Garcia’s having a blast playing Felicity and recently celebrated World Down Syndrome Day.

She was celebrated

The DAYS official Instagram page shared a lovely photo of Garcia with the World Down Syndrome Day logo across the bottom. The caption read, “Today is #WorldDownSyndromeDay! It’s a global awareness day to help people understand and support those with Down syndrome better. The date being the 21st day of the 3rd month was chosen to represent the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.”

It continued by praising Garcia with, “We’re especially celebrating Days of our Lives’ very own Kennedy Garcia today! Her talent, joy, and determination are recognized! #DOOL #days #daysofourlives #kennedygarcia #worlddownsyndromeday.”

Garcia couldn’t help but respond, “Love my Days fam so much! 💙💛.” The fans expressed that they loved the actress with @jsebigo writing, “We celebrate you Every day! You are funny and witty! You are truly a great addition to this show! ♥️.” Another fan, @flickdunn74, gave Garcia high praise, reacting, “You are a brilliant actress🙌looking fantastic 🔥you go girl👍😊👏.”

She’s a beautiful talent

@melisahuffman53 commented, “Very beautiful young lady and great actress. Hope she is in the DAYS family for a long time.” Across the board, the fans felt Garcia was both talented and beautiful, with @pamela_4013 exemplifying that viewpoint by responding, “You are a beautiful talent.👏❤️.”

Not too long before that Instagram post was published, Garcia shared a video depicting her and her co-stars Robinson and Tomeo (sans McCord) enjoying New York City’s Times Square, writing, “The Greene Family took on Times Square! But, we were missing our big sister! AnnaLynne! Where were you?! And can we please go somewhere where warmer next time? Maybe Hawaii??”

Robinson lovingly responded, “See you back in Salem 💚,” while the show’s official Instagram page captured the essence of everyone’s affection for Garcia with the reply, “Family! 💙🤗.”

And @pippymommy wrote, “More of the Greene family on DOOL please!!!🔥👏❤️🙌,” with Garcia reacting: “@pippimommy yessssss! 🙌🏻.” (Revisit the time Fake Abby was revealed to be Cat.)
