Days of our Lives' Susan Seaforth Hayes hosts a Horton family reunion

Days of our Lives' Horton clan has been the one constant during the soap's nearly 60-year history. The first-ever DAYS scene took place in the Horton home, with Susan Seaforth Hayes joining the show three years later as Tom and Alice Horton's granddaughter, Julie.

Days of our Lives stars reunite

Today, Julie is the Horton matriarch and lives in that same Horton house that fans have come to think of as their television home throughout the years. Recently, Hayes hosted a luncheon in her own home with two longtime DAYS stars whose characters have also lived in the Horton house.

"Hosted two of my favorite Hortons for a springtime dinner," she wrote alongside a photo of herself with Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) and Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton Deveraux). "Bunnies were on the table, but rabbit was not on the menu."

Fellow DAYS stars, including Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady Johnson) and Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady), loved the pic and what it represented. Reeves' soap star husband, Scott Reeves, was happy that his wife was with her on-screen cousin.

"Love that you and Missy are getting time together, Susan," Scott Reeves wrote. The actor last appeared on soaps as General Hospital's Steven Webber in 2024.

Jack and Jennifer back again

Ashford and Reeves last appeared on DAYS last November and December when Jack discovered that Doug Williams had died in his sleep. He was left with the sad task of informing Julie that her husband had passed away. Doug's death was necessitated by the death of Seaforth Hayes' husband, Bill Hayes, who played Doug for more than 50 years.

Reeves and Ashord are slated to return to our DAYS screens once again for the soap's 60th-anniversary episodes, airing later this year. Is that why Reeves, who makes her home in Tennessee, is back in LA spending time with Ashford and Seaforth Hayes?

When Jack and Jennifer return to Salem from their new home in Boston, they always stay with Julie at Tom and Alice's old house. It's good to see that this on-screen relationship has translated to a close off-screen relationship for the beloved actors. We can't wait to see them all together in Salem again next fall for a Days of our Lives celebration to remember.
