It was clear from the start that the Days of our Lives mystery woman Clyde claimed was Abigail DiMera was nothing more than an imposter. Now, Chad will finally learn the truth about the woman claiming to be his late wife.
Wedding day surprises on Days of our Lives
Just after Chad (Billy Flynn) and FakeAbby (Anna Lynne McCord) were pronounced man and wife by Abigail's brother, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), the alleged brother and sister mentioned they hadn't spoken until that day. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) found that odd because she could have sworn she heard FakeAbby on the phone with her brother the night before.
Things start going haywire on Friday's episode as FakeAbby tries to explain herself before her real brother Mark walks into the apartment with a gun. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) is not far behind. Before the whole brouhaha is over, the audience will finally learn FakeAbby's real identity.

FakeAbby is Cat Green, the daughter of Caterina Meleounis and the granddaughter of Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos), according to TV Insider. It turns out that John Black (the late Drake Hogestyn) never killed Caterina after all, which could explain John's ties to this story. As fans recall, Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Chad found John tied up in the same room where FakeAbby, aka Cat, was allegedly being held captive by Clyde (James Read).
AnnaLynne McCord gets emotional
Chad is devastated when he realizes the woman he just took vows with is nothing more than an imposter. Actress AnnaLynne McCord admitted to TV Insider that those scenes were hard to play, considering the heartbreak involved.
"Something magical happens when you work with actors who just show up, like the way Billy does," McCord said. "He does it with a really raw emotion because it’s instinctual in process versus beat for beat. I was really crying, like, AnnaLynne was crying. I was like, 'God, this is so heavy,' and the body doesn’t know the difference. It’s very real. I’m looking in this man’s eyes and he’s lost the love of his life again, and he’s not angry at first, he’s devastated. And then at the end [of the scenes], I was like, 'We have to hug and make up because I feel like it just ruined your actual life.’ And he said, ‘It’s not real. We’re acting.' But it was very emotional and it was genuine emotion. The crew was clapping because they felt it, too."
Now, McCord gets to bring a whole new character to life as fans learn more about who Cat Green really is.
"Once that big reveal happens and the details start to play out, you do get to really experience Cat and her dynamic with her family and what her siblings mean to her," McCord explained. "I felt like there was a lot of seriousness to everything and maybe this character can bring a little lightness and joy."
Will we soon meet Konstantin's beloved daughter, as well? Time will tell.
