Love is in the air for the second week in a row as Salemites celebrate Valentine's Day in their own special way. Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) are ready to be parents in any way they can and offer to adopt Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Tate's (Leo Howard) baby.

Meanwhile, a lot is happening at the Horton cabin. Doug III (Peyton Meyer) is mesmerized by Holly (Ashley Puzemis) when he opens the door to the cabin and finds her ready for her big date with Tate. He starts to tell her how he feels but then Tate walks in and wonders what is going on.

Doug is just there to get Julie's book and quickly leaves when he realizes that Holly and Tate have plans. Once alone, Holly and Tate make love for the first time.

New loves for Shawn and Belle

Thanks to Fake Rafe (Galen Gering), aka Arnold, leaving her at the altar, Jada (Elia Cantu) has been growing closer to Shawn (Brandon Beemer) as she has been lamenting all of her problems. That leads to them spending a casual and fun night at The Brady Pub playing darts. They even begin to look at one another differently.

Belle (Martha Madison) and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) can't seem to get enough of one another and admit that this feels like more than just a casual sexual relationship to them. Despite Belle throwing a drink in his face, EJ tells Belle that this isn't a casual fling to him.

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) get in on the romantic action with a special dinner at the Bistro, where Stephanie both flatters and picks fun at her official new boyfriend. Javi (Al Calderon) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) also grow closer than ever. Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) has a surprise for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), and JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) enjoy some bedroom moments.

And let's not forget about Salem's more enduring couples. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) have a romantic celebration at home, while Roman (Josh Taylor) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) share their love for one another in their pub.
