Chanel (Ravel Bowens) has known for weeks that Johnny (Carson Boatman) has been acting extremely strange, especially around Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins). Between his nightmares and the things he has said in his sleep, Chanel is sure he is keeping a secret, and this week, she finds out just what it is.

A furious Chanel orders Johnny and Joy to come clean about what they did. Through a series of flashbacks, Johnny tells the truth about his night with of drunken night of sex with Joy. It looks like Johnny has finally managed to blow up his marriage for good. While Chanel doesn't deserve this, Johnny sure does.

Johnny won't even have joy to turn to. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) turns to her first when he discovers Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) in a close moment. Stephanie is only with Philip because she thought that Alex was sleeping with Joy, so he decides to make her assumption the truth.

Tate comes clean

Tate (Leo Howard) decides that honesty is the best policy and tells Holly (Ashley Puzemis) that Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) is pregnant with his child. A devastated Holly looks at Tate like he has three heads when he tells her that things don't have to change between them.

However, things do change when it comes to Tate and Sophia's plans. Her mother shows up and makes an announcement. Sophia is going to have the baby, and Tate will be there to help her raise the child together.

It's a New Year's Eve to remember in the DiMera mansion where Jada (Elia Cantu) and Belle (Martha Madison) party, not knowing that there are two versions of Rafe (Galen Gering) hanging around. When Rafe runs into Arnold he is stunned as he thought his doppelganger was dead and buried years ago.

JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) ring in 2025 in their own way when they grow closer than ever. Will they take their renewed relationship to the next level? Will Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) allow JJ to be with the woman she has hated so much for so many years? Should it even matter to JJ what his older cousin thinks of his love life?
